To provide and maintain high quality standards, cleanliness, and procedures in preparing and serving all food within the Associate cafeteria.

Responsibilities
    Maintains the cleanliness and appearance of the cafeteria in its entirety.
  • Prepares, restocks, and maintains deli, hot, and salad bar stations.
  • Set up and maintain service stations.
  • Posts cafeteria menu on daily basis, labeling nutritional information for potential dietary restrictions.
  • Creates a welcoming environment for all Associates dining within the cafeteria.
  • Plates and serves food items from the deli, hot and salad bar stations during service hours for Associate consumption.
  • Visually inspects all food served out of cafeteria, ensuring it meets serving standards.
  • Communicate with the Chef to learn daily work tasks and their coordination, and complete daily prep list.
Qualifications
  • Previous cafeteria/entry level culinary experience preferred, particularly in a hotel environment.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced role.
  • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both within and outside of your department.
  • Ability to communicate orally in English on a basic level.
  • Ability to handle internal questions and concerns, while maintaining a calm, and welcoming demeanor.
  • Basic math skills needed to understand and implement recipes and measurements.
  • Good eye/hand coordination needed to use all kitchen equipment.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity needed in hands to operate knives, spatulas, tongs, etc.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, specifically weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to endure exposure to heat, steam, and hazardous cleaning chemicals.
  • Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 30 pounds without assistance.
  • Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
  • Requires repetitive motion.
