Location: US: WI: MILWAUKEE at our FROEDTERT HOSPITAL facility.

This job is ON - SITE.

FTE: 1.00
Shift: Shift 1
Monday thru Friday 8a-4pm
No Weekend or Holiday rotation

Job Summary:

The psychotherapist provides psychiatric assessment and treatment. Maintains an independent caseload of patients with diverse psychiatric disorders and psycho-social concerns who are presenting in an inpatient medical setting. Provides psychiatric evaluation of patient's presenting issues. Develops appropriate treatment planning and works as part of interdisciplinary team to address patients presenting psychiatric disorder and/or psychosocial issue. Utilizes appropriate treatment approach(s) to resolve patient concerns and engages in mental health disposition planning upon discharge from medical setting. Completes all written and electronic documentation following hospital protocol and state certification requirements. Participates in regularly scheduled peer collaboration, supervision, and consults with psychiatrists, system physicians, and supervisor.

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Preferred candidates will have some experience in clinical setting.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling field required.

TRAINING REQUIRED:
Specific clinical training in psychotherapy, psychiatric evaluation and assessment is required.

SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
Critical thinking, ability to review both broad and detailed information coming to relevant conclusions, ability to conceptualize, ability to analyze, ability to identify both short and long term goals, ability to utilize communication tools, such as, but not limited to: computer, telephone, voice mail and fax Skills in assessment, relationship formation, recommending and evaluating solutions, and establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.

LICENSURE REQUIRED:
This position provides supervision for hours required for State of Wisconsin license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

Candidate must be in good standing as APSW or LPC-IT and working toward licensure.

LICENSURE PREFERRED:
Prefer Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC), Substance Abuse Counselor - In Training (SAC-IT), or Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC).
