Job Description

As part of our commitment to making the world more productive and sustainable, we are seeking a dynamic environmental and sustainability professional to contribute to the development and execution of our corporate sustainability and environmental programs. You will report to the Sr. Manager, Sustainability and Environmental Programs and work with a core team developing global tracking and reporting of various environmental and sustainability plans; building consensus across teams; and coordinating execution across regions and channels. You will work with cross-functional teams to define, develop, and execute innovative programs that drive awareness and maximize impact, globally.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in implementing projects contributing to reducing carbon emissions from value chain.
  • Engage with suppliers, peer groups or industry associations on sustainability and environmental projects.
  • Support roadmap milestones to deliver on time and on budget to the assigned projects within the sustainability roadmap along with expected return on investment.
  • Source and structure data that is not readily available.
  • Participates in the day-to-day delivery of global sustainability projects that include Scope 3 emissions tracking, media relations, metrics development and tracking, and other projects as assigned.
  • Work with multidisciplinary project teams across the company to align project milestones, schedules, cost, and metrics to deliver on corporate environmental goals, including training, reporting, and auditing.
  • Use benchmarking and research skills to proactively identify issues, risks and trends.
  • Demonstrate capability to work on multiple types of projects at any one time. Manage with different target audiences and drivers. Work with cross-business and cross-regional teams to leverage expertise where it is available.
  • Collaborate and coordinate closely with the marketing, legal, public relations, production, and other functional teams, as well as the sales and marketing organization. Work with regions to develop programs that meet global needs or can be easily leveraged globally.
  • Be able to gather and analyze information and as necessary, help develop appropriate options and actions.
  • Builds effective teams committed to organizational goals; fosters collaboration among team members and among teams; uses teams to address relevant issues.

The Essentials-You will have:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

The Preferred-You might also have:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience developing environmental and sustainability programs, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • A high level of enthusiasm, creativity,, resourcefulness, and effectiveness as a team player with experience of planning and executing ESG projects.
  • Industry-relevant and corporate sustainability experience is preferred.
  • Strong project management, interpersonal, organizational and written/verbal communication skills; ability to sell ideas and present strategies at a peer level.
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking, initiative, and creativity and proven track record for innovation.
  • Values and supports diversity in the workplace.
  • Ability to take complex topics and provide succinct, simplified messaging.
  • Strong project management skills with experience gaining consensus and driving deliverables with individuals inside the organization.
  • Capacity to function in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of time, internationally.
